Barb, how can one live without french fries. Not well, I say. In fact, I've been known to say a day without fries is like a day without an orgasm. -- Nora Roberts

Finally! Another edition of ADWOFF. :-) (click here to go to Table of Contents)

Two events receive the bulk of this issue's focus--the BB/N Wedding of the Century <g> and TTP #3!

But first, I must take care of old business. A long, long, long time ago, Board Brat Tonya sent in her tour report. And then she sent me this: Uh Sue...how do I put this...where the hell is my post about the tour?

OOPS. ====:-O

Tonya was facing the pressure of the Brats (they have earned their nickname, of course ;-): I'm taking alot of flack from the other brats about not posting my thing. Mainly Robin. God love her. She's a pushy little thing. I hate to post anything cuz it just hangs there and never goes away and I always think it sounds stupid after a while. But I posted the damn tour report. Went against every fiber of my being (possible overstatement) but I posted it. If you didn't get it let me know. I have brats on my ass over this Sue. Help me out. [Special note: I must love to live life dangerously, because I'm KNOT changing this information -- even though I know if embarrasses a certain brat to be singled out! It goes back to preserving the history of ADWOFF ;-)]

Anyway, I just did not get Tonya's tour report posted. Totally and completely MY FAULT. It did, however, lead to absolutely hilarious posts @ ADWOFF's messageboard; so my faux pas was a good thing. And to make things right, Tonya's tour report is NOW online along with pictures from Edith's TTP visit back on February 28 and Elaine's TTP visit on April 16.

This edition of ADWOFF also has two (Yes! Count 'em--TWO) visits from Bookie <gulp> ... she came to me awhile back and begged me (trust me, it wasn't pretty) to interview The Lying Slut. How could I pass up the opportunity for the Bitch to take on the Slut? The results are absolutely, positively priceless. But be warned--DO NOT have any food or beverage in your mouth as you read Bookie's interview of Ms. Pat Gaffney. We WILL NOT be responsible for any :::::spewing::::: which ruins keyboards and monitors. Yes. It is THAT funny. Bookie also bent the ears of the Wedding Broads and has some verrrrrry interesting gossip from THE Wedding of the Century.

If you're scratching your head and wondering what we mean by "THE Wedding of the Century," to put it simply, one of our own, BB/N Lisa Cadie (aka Enseno) met via Nora/Sanctuary/the evolution of the BB/Ns another BB/N's son--ONLINE. Keith, the son of BB/N JJ (aka Frolic1313), romanced Lisa through IMs, e-mails, and visits--and ultimately popped the question ONLINE. Lisa accepted last fall. Their wedding was on Saturday, June 26. The BB/Ns who attended have supplied ADWOFF with tons of pictures and stories galore.

As you may already know, Nora & BW were recently in Italy. For the third consecutive year, Nora generously shared her visits with essays sent back to us. And for the second year in a row, BW supplied us with great pictures. Be sure to check out the Italy link for the stories and pictures.

This weekend is the third consecutive year that BB/Ns from all over the United States are descending upon little Boonsboro, Maryland, to help Turn the Page Bookstore Cafe celebrate its fourth anniversary. This year's attendance will be HUGE; the Broads & Brats <gulp> are staying at the Hilltop House in Harpers Ferry. While we're very excited about seeing Nora again (and for some, the first time), we also are celebrating Pat Gaffney's hardcover debut, The Saving Graces. It is a FABulous story about friendships. If you have not read it, well, you're denying yourself a wonderful story that will pull on your heart strings and make you appreciate your "girlfriends" all the more. Also back at TTP is another ADWOFF favorite, Elaine Fox.

The beauty of this weekend, though, is the idea that one lady--Nora Roberts--can connect a group of diverse ladies through the wonder of her stories. Plus, we do our very best to provide entertainment for Nora (who knows, maybe one day we'll be in one of her stories ;-); she said recently, "And you guys--you always crack me up. It's just so much fun to watch you have fun."

Finally, I'm trying to clean up ADWOFF ... make sure links are correct and all that "good stuff." It will take a little time for me to go through and make everything right; all I ask is for a little patience. <g>

OH, we'll also try to get TTP 3 highlights up during the weekend since we'll have two laptops (provided, of course, the hotel phones will allow us Internet access) and a couple digital cameras. With TTP 3, we'll also work hard at getting ADWOFF #12 online in August.
