A year ago, A Day Without French Fries ... was launched! Wow! Look at how far we've come in a year's time. The first two ADWOFF newsletters were e-mail only. For the first one, this was okay. But ADWOFF grew so much by the second issue that we had one of two choices ... cut back or learn how to become part of the world wide web. You know what our choice was!

Getting ADWOFF online was only the beginning. Last July, several BB/Ns met for the first time at Turn the Page's second anniversary. We cheered for Nora when she received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the national RWA convention. We jeered a lady who stole Nora's words and ideas and tried to pass them off as her own. When Nora went down under, we tagged along. In October, we helped her celebrate her birthday. The year 1998 was ushered in with an online BB/N party ... the guest of honor, Nora.

We waited in anticipation for Nora's 1998 Tour Schedule. Cheers from BB/Ns were heard in Denver and San Diego. In the heartland and the land of country. From sea to shining sea, Nora criss-crossed the U.S. to promote her FABulous Homeport ... and meet BB/N after BB/N. We showered her with M&Ms and Diet Pepsi and fries to help her survive the Tour from Hell. She reciprocated by having drinks and dinner with BB/Ns in Denver, San Diego, Nashville, and Champaign.

In the past year, not only have we come to idolize and respect Nora even MORE, but also we are in awe of the friendships ... wonderful, fantastic, MAGnificent friendships made with ladies and gents of all ages from all parts of the world. Most only know each other through the keyboard and monitors, but lucky ones have gotten together with one another ... and time and time again, MAGIC occurs. And the common bond? Nora.

This issue of ADWOFF will look back at Nora's 1998 Tour ... but mostly, it will honor a lady who has touched so many of our lives in so many different ways. Nora? As always. This is for you ... with love ...
