Bookie Von Broad was present at the TTP signing
on July 19 and has tons of gossip to report about
some very interesting "ladies", also known as
Noraholics.
Bookie was saddened to see one Noraholic in
particular who has a very strange affliction. She
seems to have a video camera permanently attached
to her eye. How sad it must be to go through life
with this strange appendage to one's face, forever
doomed to recording life through a lens, and being
an annoyance to those around her, constantly
saying, "Smile, talk to the camera".
Did anyone at TTP notice the intense way a certain
Board Broad flirted outrageously with Dan's (Nora's
son) friend, Chuck? Why, rumor has it that she was
even sitting (very closely) on Dan's couch with
Chuck. Alone. Unsupervised. Shameful! And he's a
younger man!
Speaking of May-December relationships, no one
could miss the shocking moves a certain sorta
middle-aged BB put on Nora's son, Dan. Talking!
Flirting! Touching! Kissing!! What is the world
coming to, I ask of you, when a young, studly hunk
can't be considered safe from the matrons of the
world?
And what is this rumor we hear about a young,
gorgeous, FBI agent-in-training wannabe who is
seeing a little green-eyed monster about this
May-December relationship? Bookie thinks that this
sweet young thing, who has designs upon the body of
the above said young man, has NOTHING to worry
about!
Bookie would like to take this opportunity to rave
about Nora's other son, Jason, for a moment.
Bookie, along with other BB's, couldn't help but
notice Jason's resemblance to one of her favorite
characters. Roarke. (A moment of silence to
contemplate, please). That hair, that face, those
eyes ... sigh ... Hmm? Oh, Nora just let me know
that she is thinking of putting security guards in
for the next TTP signing, and they will be
strategically placed around her sons. She says it
was just too exhausting cleaning all those finger
prints off of them ...
Speaking of cleaning ... A certain Noraholic,
visiting a the Civil War site of Antietam, just
couldn't control herself when the guide discussed
the way the young soldiers cleaned their guns.
Bookie doesn't see what was so funny about
"sponging off one's piece." Do you?
That same BB, winner of the Most Blond Award ---for
signing her receipt with a straw, locking her keys
and wallet in the car, and other blondly acts ---
is said to be in a blond recovery program now. We
wish her the best in this program ... we hear the
steps include dying one's hair a mousy brown and
never reading romance novels again. Why does Bookie
think this Noraholic is just not going to succeed
at this recovery program?
Bookie experienced some green-eyed jealousy at the
obvious beauty and class of one of the younger
BB's. That jealousy was compounded when she viewed
pictures of a very HANDSOME husband and young son.
Fortunately, this BB is the nicest person one could
ever want to meet. Who could ever hold a grudge
against her? (Well, not a big one, anyway!)
There was some serious concern among all of the
BB's about a certain lap top computer, and the lust
in everyone's eye when viewing this computer. In
Bookie's humble opinion ... in the future, this
computer should only be used by those with genuine
need --- like, BOOKIE! All other hands should stay
off, including its owner's hands!
There was some talk by a tall, handsome husband of
a petite, gorgeous author about a possibility of
retiring from the book business after the TTP
weekend. Something about the huge amounts of money
spent by the Board Broads, and the definite need
for some rest after the invasion. Bookie is sure he
was just kidding, though. I'm sure he loved us!
Well, that's all the gossip Bookie Von Broad, the
Board Babbler, has about the TTP weekend. There
will be more gossip next issue.after all, there are
lots of potential subjects out there!
